GeoSpatial Resources Network is a geospatial services consulting company. Their work entails compiling data into maps and performing complex analysis to help clients make informed choices with data such as demographics, topography, wildlife analysis, floodplain mapping, spatial analysis, and GPS. They serve non-profit and for-profit clients to ensure successful completion of client goals.
As a new emerging business, they wanted to upgrade their draft logo and build a complete brand. I created a modern but accessible brand that would fill their needs with both contemporary and traditional clientele in their market. The earth-toned color scheme and cartography themes play in the branding to reference their work in visualizing the complex world using intricate and diverse data to capture real world trends and inform smart decisions.

The original logo (left) compared to the new logo (right). A less formal tone was desired, so more playful linework and a 'semi-formal' font choice

The logo functions in color, black, and white, to accommodate a variety of potential backgrounds for client branding, since they will be working across a spread of platforms.

Brand Guide: Color palette. Earthy green tones demonstrate a natural feeling, with distinct blues to nod to their frequent work in watersheds and floodplain mapping.

Brand Guide: Fonts. A semi-formal serif projects professionalism for a modern era. Body text is accessible and simple for its infrequent usage.

Social Media is a critical part of a new business's brand building. I added linework inspired by a topographic map to engage the viewer while relating to one of GSRN's core project lines.
